Thyme: an herb with many beneficial properties

Some studies also suggest that thyme may have positive effects on overall well-being due to its antioxidant properties. However, for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, or elevated cholesterol, it cannot replace medical care and should not be considered a primary treatment.

Preparation 1: Thyme infusion with lemon and honey
Ingredients
1 sprig fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 cup of hot water

1 teaspoon honey (optional)

1 slice of lemon

Procedure
Bring the water to a boil.

Add the thyme, turn off the heat and leave to infuse for 5-7 minutes.

Filter the infusion into a cup.

If you like, add honey and lemon.
