A revealing measure of character is how people treat those with little or no social power, such as waiters, cashiers, or delivery drivers. Genuine kindness toward everyone, regardless of status, reflects empathy, humility, and moral strength.
Conversely, dismissive or impatient behavior toward those considered “less important” can expose arrogance, entitlement, or lack of empathy. Politeness performed for social advantage is different from consistent respect in everyday situations.
