What You’ll Need:

1 boneless steak, about 6-8 ounces (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip work wonderfully) – choose a cut you enjoy!
1 tablespoon olive oil or other cooking oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, lightly smashed (no need to chop finely, they’ll infuse the butter!)
1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, but adds a lovely aroma!)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
